Finding good quality accommodation for the first few
weeks can be tricky.
The choice and quality can vary widely -
and paying more doesn't necessarily guarantee quality...
One of the reasons for setting up this site was
that we kept getting asked to find accommodation for friends and
acquaintances.
We got tired of
checking-out properties that were either furnished from the 70's, dirty,
or crawling with uninvited guests... so we started a service
whereby we only allow landlords to advertise their property with us if
it continually meets our standards for cleanliness, furnishing/equipment
and value-for-money... Basically, if we would be happy for our kids to
stay there.
Unlike most other sites,
we make no inflated claims about the homes listed here. Nor do we offer
so called 'free assistance' if you stay in one of them. Instead, we aim
to provide an honest assessment of
our landlords' properties with photo tours - and leave you to make up
your own minds.
Our landlords are all
willing to bend over backwards to help their guests as, unlike some of
our more established competitors, they recognise that if you enjoy your
stay in their property, you'll recommend them to others.
Tip:
Whoever you rent a property from, make sure you check what's included in
the price - and what's not included.
A rental price may seem cheap until you find out that you've got to pay
an unknown amount extra for electricity, gas, phone and water after you
leave...
Check-out our
budgeting for a furnished rental page to get an idea of why our
landlords charge the prices that they do.
